cloth o' gold: cloth of gold. —Gold thread was used in this very rich fabric. The image below shows a section of a liturgical stole made of cloth of gold.
cuts: slashed openings in a garment, revealing the fabric underneath. —In the image below, there are cuts in both the bodice and the lower sleeves.
laced with silver: embroidered with a pattern of silver thread. —In the image below the foliage pattern (lower center corner) is done in cloth of silver.
